# Mid-price And Base Spread

## Hadron Curves Are Anchored Around Midprice

Mid-price and base-spread are initialized and updated by the maker, and anchor the entire swap function. <u>The instruction to update these parameters sit \< 40 CUs.</u>

**Importantly**, mid-price must be *actively* managed, by the maker, sending updates to make sure price has not gone stale.
